4/6: ThriftEd Launch
ThriftEd, an online editorial style blog, is launching its first edition of ThriftEd Mag on April 6, 2018. The 20-page high fashion magazine will launch via a launch party at XYZ Gallery in Blacksburg from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The launch party will also include a spring pop up shop—the second pop up shop hosted by ThriftEd this year.
ThriftEd Magazine celebrates the thrifting culture in and around Blacksburg as well as nationally. “By buying second-hand, buying vintage, donating your clothes to charity shops or swapping items with friends, a greater movement is made towards cherishing the story behind each garment.” Said founder Kaley Roshitsh. “We want to exist as more than a brand, and we want to celebrate thrift culture in its modernity.”
The printed magazine will be in limited release with 80 magazines available at the event. Their last pop up event saw over 100 locals in attendance. In addition to the magazine release, there will be light refreshments, a huge selection of our favorite spring trends for men and women, and a few other surprises. The first 10 attendees will get a free copy of the printed magazine.
Admission is just $10 and allows you to choose any garment piece from the shop or two accessories. Cash and Venmo will be accepted at time of event.
