3/24: March of Ales
Planning is in full swing for the 2018 March of Ales, the annual fundraising event hosted by the Blacksburg Junior Women’s Club. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, March 24 at the German Club Manor in Blacksburg. The event begins at 7 p.m. and concludes at 12 a.m.
Tickets for this 21-and-older event can be purchased online at www.blacksburgjuniors.org through the day of the event. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door if the event is not sold out in advance. Please see the website for complete ticket rules. Tickets cost is $50 per person and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, tokens for beer tasting and a souvenir glass. Once again this year, there is an option to purchase a table next to the dance floor with reserved seating. There are four tables available at $600 each, and each will include eight tickets, a champagne toast, and a special treat.
The 2018 March of Ales will feature unique beers for tasting, thanks to generous support from Vintage Cellar. Wine, coffee, soft drinks, hors d’oeuvres and desserts will also be available. Guests will enjoy entertainment by a DJ, dancing, and a live and silent auction. The auctions feature an extraordinary variety of items donated by local businesses and individuals. At the end of the evening, complimentary designated driver service will be available to Blacksburg and Christiansburg. Designated driver service to outlying areas is available for a fee.
All money raised at the event is used to fund service projects and donations throughout the year. The funds have benefited groups and causes such as Relay for Life, Salvation Army, Ronald McDonald House, Montgomery County Christmas Store and many others. March of Ales is the perfect way to ring in the spring while supporting worthy causes, so please join us!
