2024 Pesticide Collection
The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) and Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) are partnering to provide you with the opportunity to properly dispose of any unwanted or outdated pesticides you may have sitting in storage through the Virginia Pesticide Collection Program.
Since its inception in 1997, Virginia’s Pesticide Collection Program has collected and destroyed more than 1.8 million pounds of pesticides. Available at no cost to eligible participants, the program is supported by pesticide fees collected by VDACS. No general fund tax dollars are used to implement the program. The program rotates between 5 regions throughout the state once every 5 years. This year, the program will hold collections in the southwest region.
