11/16: Charlie ThompsonThere is a special visitor from Duke University, Charles “Charlie” D. Thompson, Jr., coming to give a speech on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. at 201 Harvey Street, Radford (Christ Lutheran Church). Anyone especially interested in Appalachian studies and in farming/agriculture are strongly encouraged to attend.

Dr. Thompson is the author of seven books, with the newest release in October 2019, and of six documentary films, and his presentation will be on “A Search for Rural Justice in an Unsettled Land: An intimate portrait of the joys and hardships of rural life, as one man searches for community, equality, and tradition in Appalachia.”
