10/5: Riverstone River Roast

Our annual farm tour and potluck is set for Saturday, October 5th and we hope you make plans to join us! We have asked our friend and neighbor Micah Pirog from Understory Acres farm to do a whole lamb roast over an open fire using one of his pastured lambs. And, as is tradition, our talented friend and farmer at Creek Fed Farm, Lindsey Harper will contribute some farm-focused veggie side dishes for the occasion. But that doesn’t leave you off the hook! Please bring a side dish to share so we can truly feast and enjoy the bounty that our collective farms and your table can create.

Please join us at 4:30 PM to tour our fields and greenhouses and learn how we grow your produce from seed to harvest. At 6:00 PM we will gather at our picnic spot on the banks of the Little River and enjoy good food and great company. If you stick around past dark, we will continue with a campfire. We very much look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones, and building community around a love for healthy, delicious food. All are welcome. No pets please.

Follow signs down the hill towards ‘hiking trail’ and at the bottom of the drive, stay left towards ‘barn/deliveries’. Go through the deer fence gate and follow signs for parking either near the buildings for the tour or near the river for the dinner.

We will provide plates, utensils, drinks, tables, chairs.
