10/20: Pet Vaccination Clinic

Mountain View Humane, in partnership with the Humane Society of Montgomery County, is holding a Vaccination Clinic on October 20th from 9 AM – 2 PM. Appointments spaces are limited and are based on financial need. Appointments will only be scheduled upon completion of a Vaccination Financial Assistance Application.

Mountain View Humane is offering the Rabies vaccines for both cats and dogs. The FVRCP vaccination for cats and the DHPP vaccination for dogs will be administered.

Vaccinations protect your pet from contagious diseases such as canine distemper, parvovirus infection and respiratory tract infections. The FVRCP vaccination prevents three potentially airborne viruses that are deadly to cats: rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia. The DHPP vaccination stands for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus and protects your dog from all of them. Rabies vaccinations are required by state law in Virginia once a dog or cat reaches three months old. Rabies can be fatal and can be passed along to humans if contracted.

If you are interested, you will need to complete their Vaccination Clinic Financial Assistance Application on the website at mvhclinic.org/vaccine-clinic/.
