Please join us for a Fathers Day concert in the outdoor amphitheater at the Nesselrod Bed & Breakfast. As part of our Sunken Garden Sunday 2012 concert series, Sunday June 17th will feature bluegrass artists: Larry Keel and Natural Bridge, Laura Beth and Clover Hollow, and Simple Gifts of the Blue Ridge. Enjoy live music from 2-8 p.m. in support of local musicians and charities in the New River Valley. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.nesselrod.com.

LARRY KEEL AND NATURAL BRIDGE-Keel is described by some reviewers as the most powerful, innovative and all-out exhilarating acoustic Americana flatpicker performing today. He is an ever-evolving musical force that stands in ongoing defiance to all genre expectations. The mission is always clear: to let technical skill, honest emotion and fearlessness connect the playing and singing to audiences, to entertain and to thoroughly enjoy the experience!

LAURA BETH AND CLOVER HOLLOW- Laura Beth and Clover Hollow started playing together in 2007, just over the ridge from a beautiful rolling valley, Clover Hollow, nested in the Blue Ridge of Appalachia. The music that seems to seep out of the mountains of Virginia like pure water from a mountain spring has found its way into the heart of our music. The tradition of music we’ve found here has shaped the core of who we are… growing ever deeper roots and ever higher branches, offering shade to any who care to come and sit for a while.

SIMPLE GIFTS OF THE BLUE RIDGE- The members of New River Valley of Virginia area folk group Simple Gifts of the Blue Ridge are Charles Bostian, Jack Webster, Carolyn Smith, and Marya Katz, who together sing and play hammered dulcimers, guitars, flute, bass, and percussion. Simple Gifts performs traditional American, British, and Irish folk music, with some world music and original compositions thrown in. Their repertoire ranges from train songs to contemporary favorites and love songs.
