David William Mullen, 72, of Moneta and Christiansburg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Audrey C. Mullen, and a sister, Nancy Jo Mullen. He is survived by his wife, Novaldean S. Mullen; his daughters and sons-in-law, Deanne and David Lane, Denise Mullen and Mike Tadych, and Lara and Alex Wren; grandchildren, Kaytlin and Sara Lane, Caroline, Owen, and Lauren Tadych, Dylan and Rylee Wren; sisters and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Glenn Litteral, Susan Barwick. David graduated from Georgetown College, and T.C. Williams Law School. He practiced law in Christiansburg from 1968-2001. After retiring he moved to Smith Mountain Lake. He was instrumental in building and developing a large number of business and residential areas in Christiansburg over the years. The family will receive friends at New River Valley Community Church 2455 Peppers Ferry Road, Christiansburg, VA 24073 from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, with a memorial service following at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Everett Shepherd and the Rev. Harry Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research; c/o The Michael J.
