Annie Mae Stewart Baird, 94, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Kroontje Health Care Center. She was born in Winston-Salem, N.C. on January 29, 1918, to the late Jacob and Della Minor Stewart.

Laura Etta Milton Beck, 102, of 111 Johnson Avenue, Pembroke, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. She was the last member of her immediate family, being a daughter of the late John Albert and Nannie Rose Slash Milton. She was a retired domestic, having worked for many prominent families in Giles County.

Elder Jay Steve Harris, 74, of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Highland Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Dublin. He worked in sales and was the former pastor of Pulaski Primitive Baptist Church from March 1975 until October 2007 when he stepped down due to health issues.

Barbara Jean Stigger Hubbard, 70, of Radford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Meeting her there were her mother, Frances Cobbs Calloway, who was waiting with open arms, her father, Fred Calloway, Sr., her oldest sister, Rita Marie Stigger, her only brother, Fred Calloway Jr., and her first grandchild, Shyretta Stigger.

Frances C. Hughes, 80, of Christiansburg, by the grace of God, and with a strong belief in eternal life, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, to be reunited with her loving family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Falton Woodrow (Woody) Linkous, 70, of Merrimac, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Pulaski. He was born in Montgomery County on November 8, 1941, to the late Paul and Mildred Linkous.

Sidney Matthew Noonan, 64, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County on December 4, 1947, to the late Marshall and Dorothy Jones Noonan.

Theodore (Ted) Charles von Dameck, 75, of Blacksburg, passed away May 11, 2012, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Ted was born on January 8, 1937 in Manhatten in New York City, NY, and was a son of the late Harry C. and Lois Nobles von Dameck.
