The first of five progress reviews of the Pulaski Brownfields Redevelopment Program will be presented at the next Pulaski Town Council Work Session scheduled for Tuesday, March 16 at 5 P.M. at the Senior Center located at 106 N. Washington Ave., Pulaski.
The joint presentation, by Draper Aden Associates and the Pulaski Economic Development Board, will report progress to-date in connection with the brownfields assessment project stemming from a $200,000 grant received from Recovery Act funds.
The Town was selected by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to receive a brownfields assessment grant from The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The funds will initiate efforts to assess and ultimately remediate and redevelop abandoned or underutilized, industrial/commercial properties identified as brownfields and help to return them to productive community use.
