The Public Works Department will be performing the annual fire hydrant flushing and testing in coordination with the Engineering and GIS department beginning on Monday, July 9. This activity will occur in the SW quadrant of Town and will continue through Friday, July 20.
During flushing activities, sediments that have accumulated in the water lines may cause a slight discoloration of the water. This is not harmful to a person’s health and should not be cause for concern. Information from hydrant testing will be used to properly color code the hydrant caps to aid emergency responders and to also help calibrate the Town’s water system modeling.
