In “Intermediate Word,” participants will learn to create professional quality documents using columns, headers, footers, AutoText entries and graphics. Formatting and calculations in tables will also be discussed. “Advanced Word” adds instruction in creating form letters and addressing envelopes, working with forms, managing large documents and automating actions with macros.
“Beginning Excel” introduces participants to the essential concepts and skills involved in creating spreadsheets. Students will see examples of Excel spreadsheets and learn to add text and numeric data, perform calculations, modify and format a worksheet, print and save. “Intermediate Excel” builds on basic spreadsheet skills to incorporate working with multiple worksheets as well as modifying charts, performing advanced formatting techniques and creating and sorting lists. The “Advanced Excel” workshop extends these skills further by introducing students to features such as advanced formulas, lookups and data tables, advanced list management, pivot tables and analytical options.
Each course will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Edwards Hall at NRCC in Dublin. Tuition is $109 per course, which includes a textbook. Students will receive a certificate and a .55 CEU upon completion.
