Twelve pre-school children recently graduated from the New River Community College Early Learning Center (ELC). The children were honored at a special ceremony on the NRCC campus before an audience of their family and friends.

Griffith Announces US Service Academy Nominations

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement today announcing those receiving congressional nominations from his office to the United States Service Academies:

“It is my honor and privilege to nominate these young men and women to attend a United States Service Academy,” said Congressman Griffith. “Southwest Virginia has a rich tradition of military service. I commend the willingness of these nominees to serve our country as the next generation of military leaders as well as their desire to receive a superior education at one of the Academies. Congratulations on receiving this nomination and best wishes for future success. I also extend my gratitude to the Ninth District Service Academy Nomination Board for their input in this process.”
